"Turtles in Time" is the 19th episode in season 3 and the 71st episode overall.

Official Description[]

When the Turtles are whisked through time by apprentice Time Mistress Renet, they all must work together to defeat the evil Time Master Savanti Romero.

Plot[]

The episode starts with turtles standing on a rooftop. There Leo is still searching for Karai. Raph says it is pointless to search for her and Donnie agrees with him because he hasn't found a cure for Karai. Leo says that Donnie should have understood him better. Then Mikey says that Leo has feelings for Karai similar to Donnie 's feelings for April and starts teasing Donnie for his crush on April. After that he states that he will never have a crush for a girl because he is dedicated in ninja-ing. Then Raph starts throwing water to Mikey with a hose and the four of them are having fun. While they are playing a light appears in the sky and something like a door opens. Then a girl with a strange outfit appears.

When she is about fall on the roof Mikey runs to catch her. After that he asks her if she is alright but when he looks at her he sees a light around her implying that he fell in love. The girl is excited because she met the legendery hero turtles.

After presenting herself as Renet Tilley, she explains to the turtles that they become famous legends in the future, saying that they will defeat Savanti Romero, a evil being that wants to control all of time. Suddenly Savanti Romero arrives the same way Renet did, trying to steal the scepter that was in her hand.

  • This episode title is a reference to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtle in Time video game released on Arcades and the Super Nintendo console in the 90's as well as the IDW series arc of the same name.
  • The scene where the turtles fight the undead skeletons is a reference to the famous skeleton fight scene in "Jason and the Argonauts" (1963), which was claimed to be one of Ray Harryhausen's greatest stop-motion masterpiece.
